Read Taylor photographs, ca. 1887-1968.

Summary: The collection consists of 20 black-and-white snapshots and copy prints of Globe, taken by Mrs. Taylor or copied by her, in 1968. These include the courthouse, sheriff's office, a church, the offices of the Miami Copper Company, and plaques dedicated to the notable Globe residents Governor George Hunt and public servant John W. Wentworth. There are copies of historical photographs of the condemned man Zack Booth waving farewell to onlookers shortly before his execution by hanging September 5, 1905, and the first Gila County courthouse built in 1888.

Biographical note: Historian G.R. Taylor, married to Read Taylor, was a member of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in Arizona.
